How to Fix JavaScript McAfee Issues

 

You always make sure that your PC is protected from viruses and malwares, keeping that in mind you install McAfee total protection on your computer. But your antivirus software no longer seems to be working properly.  You might get a blank screen once you click on it and the same thing goes when trying to use McAfee virtual technician.

This might be technical glitch displaying an error message that messages I have JavaScript is not enabled on your PC.  To fix up the issue follow the steps given below and you’ll be able to solve your problem.

Step 1:

Click on Start button from your Pc and type “cmd” in the search option. Once the Command Prompt appears in the top of the start menu, right click on it and select “Run as administrator”.

Step 2:

To Run as administrator, you’ll need the admin permission and password. Once you enter the password, click on OK.

Step 3:

Now register the JavaScript file and type the following command without quotes “regsvr32 jscript.dll”. Make sure that there should be space between regsvr32 and jscript.dll, without space the command will generate error. To Register the vbscript file type “regsvr32 vbscript.dll”

Step 4:

Now open McAfee and check the status. If it’s still blank Click on the Control panel> Programs & Features and Remove the Java Runtime Environment and Reinstall it from the below link http://java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_ie.jsp

Step 5:

Once the installation completes, Restart the Machine and check with the McAfee Total Protection.
